Abstract: |
Objective To investigate the psychological and social characteristics of the college students at ultra-high risk for psychosis. Methods With a two-stage assessment, 32 students who meet the criteria for a psychosis-risk syndrome were screened as study subject from 2800 college students. The self-esteem, social support, resilience and family function were evaluated, and the relationship between psychosocial factors and psychopathological symptoms was analyzed. Results The levels of family function, self-esteem, resilience and social support in the ultra-high risk group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01, P<0.05). The level of self-esteem, resilience and social support were negatively correlated with the severity of the psychopathological symptoms(P<0.01, P<0.05). Conclusion The levels of family function, self-esteem, resilience and social support in the college students at ultra-high risk for psychosis were poor. The early psychological intervention should be designed aimed at improving these psychosocial characteristics. |
