Submission Guidelines

Manuscript Requirements

1. Manuscripts should be scientific, logical, innovative, and practical. The content must be genuine, with accurate and reliable data, clear arguments and conclusions. Writing should be concise, logically organized, and clearly structured, with standardized figures and tables. Research articles should not exceed 6000 Chinese characters, including Chinese and English abstracts, figures, tables, and references. Please use standard Chinese characters and terminology.

2. Since January 2009, the journal has accepted only online submissions, discontinuing printed article submissions. Please register and submit manuscript through website (http://tjyxxb.cnjournals.cn). Please provide the author's name, affiliation, address, email, and contact information (preferably a mobile number).

3. Submissions must be accompanied by a recommendation letter from the author's institution or supervisor, confirming the article's originality, absence of multiple submissions, lack of authorship disputes, and no confidentiality issues. The recommendation letter can be mailed to the editorial office or uploaded to the submission system after scanning. The author is fully responsible for the manuscript's content. The editorial office reserves the right to make necessary edits.

4. Clinical research articles must include ethical approval documents. Articles funded by grants must include copies or scans of the funding documentation.

 

Fees

1. The journal charges APCs and Review fees. Charging rates are as follows:

?   Review Fee: 200 RMB per article

?   APCs : 350 to 400 RMB per page.

2. Submission to the “Expert Reviews” column are exempt from above fees.

3. The collection or exemption of fees does not influence the acceptance decision.

 

Manuscript Requirements

1. Title: The title should be concise, precise, specific, and informative. Include both Chinese and English titles. The Chinese title should generally not exceed 20 characters and should avoid subtitles. The English title should be consistent with the Chinese title, primarily in noun phrases.

2. Author Names: Author order should be determined at submission. List all authors' names (including Pinyin) with the last name first and in uppercase, followed by the first name with only the initial capitalized. Provide full affiliations and locations with postal codes.

3. Abstract: Basic and clinical research articles require both Chinese and English abstracts with consistent content. Structured abstracts should include objective, methods, results, and conclusion parts. Submission for columns of Expert Forum and Reviews should have indicative abstracts, focusing on purpose and findings, with 50-100 Chinese characters.

4. Keywords: Choose 3-8 keywords from the current MeSH terms. Authers can use common terms if only there is no MeSH term available. Keywords in Chinese and English should correspond one-to-one and be placed below the abstracts.

5. Main Text: The main text should include the introduction, materials and methods, results, and discussion sections.

    - Introduction: Generally not exceeding 250 words, explaining the research purpose and current state of research. Minimal references are allowed to avoid repetition in the discussion section.

    - Materials and Methods: Describe the selection criteria for subjects (patients or experimental animals, including controls), experimental instruments, and methods. Reference unfamiliar established methods, and describe new or modified methods in detail, including statistical methods.

    - Results: Present findings logically with text, tables, and figures, including significance tests' exact values. Avoid repeating data from tables and figures in the text. Only summarize the main findings of the study.

- Discussion: Analyze and interpret results without repeating introduction and results data. Discuss new and important findings and conclusions, comparing with literature and suggesting further research.

6. References: List references sequentially in the text with Arabic numerals in square brackets. Prefer recent references from the past 3 years that are published in journals. Avoid internal documents, secondary references, and unpublished articles. Please refer to the format examples given in the Chinese website.
